I have some ivomec left over from my larger animals. Should I give my birds a couple of drops apiece? Is it all the same strength? They look very healthy, but I didn't know with winter coming on. I've heard most people say that they dose theirs before breeding season in the spring.I can wait if this stuff has a shelf life.Just curious!

injection ivomec or pour on ?
POUR ON
Dilute ivomec pour on to 1 part ivomec to 4 parts Propylene Glycol couple of drops on the skin back of neck.
INJECTION
couple of drops down the throat.I would treat all your birds before breeding and all your stock as a precautionary measure

I de-worm my birds twice a year. In the spring (B4 breeding season start) and the fall (after breeding season ends). I keep a watch on the droppings for any sign of worms. In the past four years, no sign of worms in the droppings but I de-worm them every year just incase. Humidity plays a great part in the worms cycle and our summers are humid because of Lake Erie’s effect. That is why I still give them the worming medication. I sue Wormout Gel.
