my young birds are doing this .i have been flying them ever day and two times a day on weekends thay kit good and roll one or two turns at a time .what can i do to get them to rool deeper?have been on just milo.
first of all take them off of the milo. There is very little nutritional value to milo. Put them on either wheat or mix, preferably mix since you have had them on straight milo. Rest them a couple days and you might be surprised. This time of year when it starts getting colder out you need to boost up the protien and you will do that with the mix. Also I would never use straight milo for very long. Use it to cut the fat but you also cant get them too lean or they will do just what you are describing. Good luck. Joe Urbon
It could be a couple of things going on here but first off you need to get them fed properly. I agree with Joe and would suggest a 12 percent mix to start with. How do they trap in? Do they try to fly to the ground? If so they may need some grit as well. I flew mine as hard as you do yours and I tried resting them by giving them a day off and wow what a difference that made! The day off seemed to revitalize them thus better action. The biggest thing about young birds kits is we must have is PATIENCE! I don't quite have the recipe for that one yet...LOL
