Gentlemen,
The unofficial results of the 2006 NBRC National Championship Fly are in. From Region 3, Bruce Jackson is the NBRC 20-bird National Champion with a score of 629.16. From Region 6, Joe Joyner is the NBRC 11-bird National Champion with a score of 183 points. Congratulations to these fine gentlemen for their tremendous success in the breeding, managing, training and flying of competition rollers.
The complete results of the Regional and Finals Competitions are posted on the NBRC Website for your review.

My childhood mentor, Bob Hord placed 5th. He is 12 years older than I am. When I was 7 or 8 he was already a man. He even bought a roller from me so I could buy pigeon feed when I was 8. No nonsense guy, reminds me of an old Kenny Billings..........sorry Kenny...........sory Bob(LOL). He even worked for me when I grew up. A ball buster, could "get'er done" and quickly. Still works his butt off. Great guy. Another old friend, De Voe Manning did well in the 11 bird competition. I had better get busy and step up.
Good job guys; excellent job to the winners.

I was the last one to fly in the NBRC Fall fly.I scored a 5,6,6,5 before two of my youngest birds in the kit came down and DQ'd me at 2:40.I should have pulled those buggers when they practically tore the shirt off my back at last feeding.Had fun ,first DQ in a long time,figures it would be on fly day,lol.The rest of the birds were rolling up a storm though,pulled out the deep ones for this one,they defintely put on a show.Theres always next year.Aloha,Todd

Hey Dave, great job on "your" showing also !!!! What 4th or 5th place in the 20 bird finals ?

thanks Scott. It was 4th but couldn't have done it without help. Guys like you, BMC, Kenny, Joe, and others have really helped me out. Hope I can keep on going at this surreal pace.
