Hey All, I learned probably within the first year that with a discussion board that allows for a free flow of opinion and ideas, you will tweak some noses, blow some others and leave a sweet aroma for still others. You can’t please everyone but will please many.
By the first month or two of the New Year, this site should have had over 3 MILLION pages views since we started this current format in January 2004, a testament to the overall success of this site and its mission (see Home Page).
When controversy rages on this board, my sales have ALWAYS GONE DOWN, not up as some would suppose. I have found that controversy does not pay my bills.
I accept this as part of the deal I have with you to frequent this site for the opportunity to supply you with some pigeon products, whether they are my Ruby Rollers, bands, books or now the myriad of pigeon products we started supplying.
My suggestion to those with a “dog in this fight” or others is that rather than be upset that a debate is raging, take the opportunity to edumacate yourself and consider the merits of someone’s position they espouse or defend.
Just ask questions, ask them to clarify what they mean. Ask them to expound on their ideas and opinions. Ask about their position on certain controversial and academic questions. Consider their motivations, what they have to gain, lose, etc.
Let the quality of their response or non-response dictate the value of their opinion.

Well here goes...As for myself and only myself I get kinda tried of all the Hollier the Thou attitudes that I see in alot of post. I for one dont need to read about everyones personal agendas, put downs of other and name calling. I thought this was a forum for all to learn from. Not to see how many peoples feathers can get ruffeled. And leave the "dog in this fight" at home. This is no place for that attitude

Being new to the hobby, this is where I get a lot of my advice and education. I have and hope in the future to order from Tony, and call him if I need something answered quickly. This is my #1 Board for rollers.

Jim, this is a great site where people are NOT feeding you a bunch of Bull about what the birds should do just trying to sell you pigeons. You can post a question and you will get a few different answeres all with a posative thing to add. Not some hidden agenda trying to poison your mind.
