To quote a recent thread I started:
“Hey All, I learned probably within the first year that with a discussion board that allows for a free flow of opinion and ideas, you will tweak some noses, blow some others and leave a sweet aroma for still others. You can’t please everyone but will please many”.
One main reason the All Roller Talk board is as successful as it is, is because of the virtually pure democracy that is practiced by anyone who wants to participate with virtually no post editing or deletion.
My sense is that other boards tend toward being politically correct that is trying to please all constituencies so therefore no free flow of opinions and ideas are allowed for fear of offending or upsetting others. The content is homogenized and kept pure. Do they get the job done? You decide.
All Roller Talk has the “meat”, but there is a fair share of "fat" too. Sometimes you have to cut away the fat to get to the best stuff.
There is no other board where you can read this diverse of opinion on the roller pigeon. There are factions within the hobby that can come here and express there opinion, but guess what, someone may challenge it or have an opinion on what they do. So what? Do what you do.
There is not a board or any other place where you can discuss the roller pigeon this openly with so many people of differing backgrounds and experience and opinion. The ones who get the most upset are the ones that “have to be right” or mamma taught them to only play nice. LOL
Enjoy the democratic expression of free opinion you have on All Roller Talk while it lasts…? ---------- FLY ON! Tony Chavarria
PS: Thank you Veterans for your service and those who made the supreme sacrifice, so we can have this democracy!

Ahhh while ROLLERMAN waits on the WHAAAAAAAMBULANCE!! Wayne gets the prize!! Call them new crossed up rare colored rollers what they are.. A newly created breed of rare colored rollers created here in America. The guys over in England don't cross rollers on other breeds for Color patterns and factors.. If the rare colored roller guys would just name and claim the new breed all could enjoy and respect the new breed.. Its the fact they insist on crossing them up, changing the looks, adding in a gene pool from other breeds and then calling them the same as the Birmingham roller that causes all the controversy.. We have talked about this before.. Name it and claim it and we can all enjoy it! Keep trying to live on an established breeds Reputation and ruin its heritage and history and you will always have a divide in the ranks.. Those are facts Men, Like them or not.. KGB

Kenny, Most of us know who the real bullshitters are.Let them fill their boots with it.The best thing folks who raise pure BR's can do is simply continue to promote the hobby in as positive a way as we can.Let them have their fancy colours if they want.I know my birds are as pure BR as they come so that's enough for me. Cheers, Kel.

Tony, If a site such as this one doesn`t get your dander up once in while you might want to rethink your hobby. On this forum you can say just about anything you feel as long as it is done without being overly vulgar, and it relates to Birmingham Rollers.
You might get the crap stomped out of you occasionally, but the wounds will heal and pain is just fear leaving the body. Your brother will then reach out his hand help you up,dust you off,and buy you a beer. AHHH I love this place!!!!!! ---------- If they don`t kit, they don`t score. Color don`t roll and peds don`t fly. It`s a comp thing, understand?
