Tort (Tortiseshell) is the combination of grizzle x kite bronze x non-spread blue base. Most are blue checks are blue dark checks.

No Nick, not a color bird, color birds are only those brought in from another breed, also know as "rare color" which is just another name for mongral , they have polluted many breeds.

I am not real good at all the colors..but doesn't a tort show three colors in the feather...I think you had said that before Brian...or am I hitting the crack pipe again..LOL

No Disrespect! Got up on the wrong side this morning!(post annaversary issue)LOL I flew my birds and now I'm good to go!
I try to read all your post, no doubt you are a master in the hobby. I see you jumping in and answering tons of questions and helping most anyone, and I commend you for it!I hope you will still be there me after this, but I, without a doubt, will never,have to question where you stand on the "colored bird issue"! It's clear brother!

Congradulations? I went to a wrestling tournament alone, went and lifted at the gym alone, and came home and went to bed alone! Things are definantly blue this morning, both of them!LOL

We finally agree on something.We got to keep our eye on the ball.No matter what else is involved as long as that bird is rolling down at us like a Ball we are on the right path.
