I wqatched a show called the Big Idea a couple of weeks ago. Mike was on it, he no longer has his birds. He said it is because of where he lives or something. C.J.

I was just amazed at the scope of the operation. Wonder what familiy(s)they are and how long it took to get that many birds together? I think there are close to 1000 pairs breeding altogether. I bred 70 with 10 and wasn`t pushing them. He could breed 70,000 plus a season. Geezly crow. Wonder what kind of preventative meds they use and what kind of problems crop up. If the original pairs are semi related and free lofting like they do,how tight would the gene pool be? ---------- If they don`t kit, they don`t score. Color don`t roll and peds don`t fly. V99 This guys lives about 30 minutes from me. I have about a dozen farmers around me that have a contract with him. Simply put " piramid scam ". Talked to a kid that started about two months ago and had 150 pair. Lost 112 birds in seven weeks. You pay $160 a pair and he buys the babies back at $25, not a bad deal if your breeding rollers or homers. I don't believe these birds have been flown to prove if they can perform, think about it, 50-60 farms breeding 100-750 pair, who is flying them out. He targets farmers that have gotten out of cattle who have an empty barn, who don't know anything about pigeons. He has them feeding the birds medicated pig feed 24/7 and javex in the water 24/7. I have never heard of any flyiers buying his birds. I think they just go to the next breeder farm.
