Hey,,,so cool!!I've got a line on some of those Catalonian Tumblers to be right here in the Great White North,Canada.A guy in Ontario is bringing some in from Arizona and by next spring he figures he'll be able to help out by supplying me with some.Man,,,what a hassle to get them imported legal like.First they need to be vaccinated by a USDA vet then wait 30 days before you have a Canuck vet inspect them at the border.Big bucks to bring birds in to Canada.I think personally I'd rather smuggle 'em,just for the rush!!!Shades of S.E. Asia.Hah!!Anyways,keepin' my fingers crossed I'll be able to score some of these birds to fly in the near future as I need some help against these friggin'SOB preds around here.

Catalonians are a nice looking pigeon, but it is rare to find any that perform well or even perform at all. People not respecting the integrety of the breed bred the performance out of them. I would make sure they were performers first by asking the breeder.
I just don't have the time to manage another breed. If I did I might want to look at the Asiatic Roller. It looks different enough to catch my eye.....but I just don't have the space and time.

Yes I want to contact the breeder as soon as I can and find out more about them.I just made contact with this fellow who is importing the birds today and haven't talked to him on the phone yet but definately need some more info.
About having time,well I'm trying to cut my workdays(away from the house)down to 6 hours or less.Was doing 6 1/2 -7 last summer fall.Hoping in the second half of my century coming up next year be able to stay around the ranch and garden,bird and get out in the boat more and more.We're not supposed to work for other people all our lives you know!!That's true.
