That coloured spray they use for hair on halloween works pretty well.

I tried that, it seems to wears off very slowly making it difficult to mark more birds. Maybe the spray was the cheap stuff?? or do I need to wash them birds more often :) Plus anybody have any bird sheets they can e-mail me?? I would like to see how the measure up to the one I invented.

Jim,
Do you mean record sheets for breeding purposes?

Jim I have been using Power Pigeon since it first came out and I think it is great. Go to C-D-R.com and you can download a demo of it to play with and see if you like it. It is very easy to use and fairly inexpensive. You can also purchase it from the NBRC and it will come with their logo shadowed into the background of your pedigrees.
Anyway ledgers and paper work great also just nice to be able tio click on a birds band number and print its pedigree or all of its progeny with the click of a button. Joe

Jim, the only thing I use for marking birds is a pair scissors , a clip here and a clip there on the tail, 100 different ways you can go with it, once that tail opens coming out of the roll, bingo !
Also if you aren't sure check the secondary flights, they will tell who's rolling by seperation, it is s good way to narrow it down.

I want to start grading my birds by letting them fly over several days give a grade each day then giving the avg. grade or score.
Is the spring or summer months better to do this in or is the winter months fine for this??
