This crest / mongrel stuff is getting old. The original arguement didn't start with the crest it started with someone commenting about having a full turn on video. Once again guys who had nothing to with the original disagreement are carrying it on. There comes a time as adults we just need to agree to disagree. Gentlemen this is one of these times. Crests no crests, muffed or not who cares we all love OUR birds. What I look for in my my family may not be for the next guy but that is o.k. It is my loft my hobby and my money the rest is noone elses concern. None of the guys who have the crested birds have tried to say that everyone should abandone their dream of the perfect roller so why do some guys on here feel that it is appropriate to bully people who choose something outside the box. This garbage scres new viewers off, COME ON GROW UP.

All this crested roller mess started when Stan the Man with his crested mongrels, decided to rear his head and talk about how great his birds are and he always gets a raw deal in the flys so he doesn`t fly and still has the best purebred birds in the world from 20 years ago.

Hector didn`t go on about how his birds are pure Birmingahms from the original stock from across the pond. He stated fact. Got 188 in the WC. He ain`t skeered. Stan on the other hand is a bullshitter and will always be a bullshitter. He always has an excuse why he can`t fly in the comps and prove his birds. My advice is to ignore Stan. He is an idiot and expects everyone to believe his line of crap.
BTW I made the finals with 507 the first time I flew in the comp. I ain`t skeered either.

Bottom line is this if you wanna come on this site and sling some crap,be prepared to have it back in spades. These guys don`t put up with BS. Put up or say your a backyard flyer and don`t compete. Personally I feel everyone should fly in comp occasionally, heavy emphasis on occasionally.

Velo I hear you and know where you are coming from I have had my run ins with ---- before. However it is all of the third party arguing that gets a little old quickly.
Some people have trouble admitting when they are wronh or apologizing. Somtimes I think ---- is one of them. I don't think he means any harm he just loves his birds so much and like everyone he sometimes tends to B.S. This doesn't make him a bad person you just need to not engage him with a battle. When talking to anyone on here you need to consider the source of the information. Trust me if you went back through the archives you would think I would be the last person defending ----. I probably will get pissed again and thats o.k. its all of the bi standers who feel when the time is right to jump in and kick the guy because it looks easy.
Everyone should be able to enjoy this site without being bullied, (and I am not accusing you of bullying) This is for everyone, always keep in the back of your mind this is a site you like to visit. But it is Tony's bread and butter he needs and wants everyone to come here and feel safe. The last thing he needs is this site getting a bad rap.
Thanks

Thanks Motherlode,
I honestly had no idea that me asking a question would get negative feedback. I came across this site 4 days ago and have not read the archives, and did not know this was something that had been fueled out before. It was not my intention to start a conversation to have anyone get upset, I am not that type of person! Sorry to everyone. Guess I will start reading the archives. Jerry

This comment wasn't directed towards the beginning of this thread. It just poured over from the other one. Naylor I never said people wouldn't feel safe. Tony has set a policy in place where he doesn't want personal attacks.
Differences in opinion are fine and actually make for interesting debates. The personal attacks only lead to hurt feelings. Calling a person retarded and other names is unacceptable.

Actually Kelly, the "internet slap gif" illustrates how "retarded" or "idiotic" it is to think a person can actually "bully" or pressure someone into an altercation on the net.
I failed to see anything "constructive" in this thread which turned into a he-said, she-said trail leading blindly nowhere. Amazing how a little laughter can turn ugly into bliss with a few silly images isn't it...lol
