In World Wars, large balloons were attached to long cables and used to keep aircraft from flying over certain areas to prevent or minimize air strikes on troops and equipment.

Would a similar balloon idea work to ward off BOP? Would a pigeon get used to the balloons if raised around them? Any thoughts?

I have use hot air ballons in the past to make my birds fly when they were not flying too long, the first time they will be really scared and fly for very long but after a week or two they seem to not really care about the ballon anymore and start to land like normal, i guess they got use to it and didn't really care unless it comes pretty close to them then they'll take off, i used it when they were 3 to 4 months old i don't know if it will scare hawks off but my pigeons got use to it
