I have been feeding my ducks some popped popcorn every day now for a week and the crows pick up what they left behind. Today I had a hawk fly over my loft and the crows cased him way. I have seen crows keep hawks away before but not like today they worked harder I guess they like popcorn. For the last week I have not had any hawk come and try to eat my birds now I know why.

Some guys will toss eggs and hot dogs out frequently to keep the crows around. They say it works fairly well to keep the coopers from getting a bead on the place. I think the WNV has hit the crows hard around here as I don't have nearly as many as I normally do during the winter.

I just had a lot of popcorn out on the ground and I guess they saw it, I can put it out one morning and they will be there in 10 min or the next day. But they never go far from my loft, I was flying today and there was a crow sitting in a tree over my loft and no hawks. In the fall they sit in the pecan trees in my yard.
