Hey All,
Well, my new loft is pretty much done on the outside. I still need to put in 2 windows and frame in my new kit boxes and then it is all done. That will be tomorrow. I have the breeder section all done and the breeders are enjoying there new home. I have some photos....but I do not know how to post them...LOL!!
Anway...the building is 9'X14'...everything will be under one roof. My breeder loft is 5'X8'....there will be three kit boxes 3X3X4 and one hen loft and room for a cock loft too. There are two sky lights and there will be 3 windows total. I also have vents installed....Just wanted to give you all the update.
It was soooooo hard taking down the swingset loft...but a local flier got the loft and two kit boxes.....so it is still alive!!!

Trust me...I miss the slide and swing set!!! Actually, Chris DeTorres...got the Swingset loft and two of my kit boxes....I worked him a sweet deal. Chris and I took it down in a couple hours. As soon as I build my new kit boxes He will get my youngbirds box and my B-team box. Arlen Ingle has dibs on my A-team box..but Chris is trying to talk him out of it..LOL

Looks good Paul, but looking at it now, I'd say you need a lot more ventilation. Do it now or regret it later.

Did you get that floor epoxy painted before you got those birds in? ;)
Looking good...just remember you have a wife, kids, a dog and a job...so don't spend all your time out there. LOL!!

If you're going to coat it I would recommend stain over paint.
Looking good, Paul.

Looking good, Paul! Knowing that you have been up to your elbows in a construction project makes me appreciate your help during the NBRC National Champiopnship even more!! My first reaction was the same as Brian's about the ventilation. It looks to be buttoned up pretty tight! Any special reason for the green fronts on the nestboxes? (I know some guys like colored fronts to help the birds ID their own box.) I just finished a new breeder loft myself. I'll try to get some pictures posted after the weekend! Just need to finish a few more nest boxes... YITS, Cliff

Paul,
I know you said your adding roof vents, etc...but you might want to consider adding a couple of floor vents. Bring air in from the floor flow it out the vents in the roof.
just a thought

Yes...I am putting in floor vents too.....Clif...the green nest box fronts come that color. You get them from Foys.. they are plastic.....pre-assembled and ready to go...they are about 4 inches longer and you cut them to fit your boxes....and just add 4 screws.......I use plain old forming stakes for the bars and measure and cut and add one finishing nail to each...they are spaced out the width of a forming stake. So I am stuck with the green nest box fronts...lol..
