You bet I do Kevin. Straight up culls. But that is usually what you get when you try to focus on color instead of roll. Joe

Hector, that bronze check and blue check are nice looking birds. You don't see too many blue checks showing that much bronze in the shields. A bird like that bronze kite is ideal for almond matings.

Very weak back Hector ,most probably bird won't hold up for long if it rolls , it will probably be a bumper.
By the way, I like that dark checker , and not because it's a dark checker.

Hector,

intersting birds, the dark checker is a very nice looking bird, the R/R crest hen tho i can not say that it has weak back because the secondaries feathers are coming up a bit in the photo to give it the illusion of that..

Hi Hector:
Don't believe anything that Scott says about your birds
If he Thinks that he can look at a Picture and tell you whether its Weak in the back and it might be a bumper,Shows he's got more B.S.Than he says I have.I didn't know Pensom was still alive.I can't tell you anything about a bird.unless I see it in the air or in my hand, after I've seen it in the air.And Iv'e kept bIrds for 55 yrs,He's a funny guy.LOL

How does it perform?

The drk chck was a good roller,i stocked him 2 months ago cause of the hawks, ill fly him again in april.
The crest i got from 4 different people ,one of which is from a verry reputable breeder, i know where bred out of pure rollers, one guy has played around with the crest and i know he put something in it but they roll verry good,
i never claim my crest are pure BR i do claim they roll extremly well and on the deep side.
I heve my crest in my front loft along with other odd and end birds like 1 andalusian that produses verry nice roll. just to play around,my Bob Scott stuff is in my back loft i dont mix them usually.ive had my Bob Scott stuff since 1982 they are my best and ive never changed families since,
i keep my project loft in the front becouse ive been ripped off 4 times and they always go to the front loft.

Stan.

You don't seem like the same guy I spoke with a few years ago...We even corresponded by e-mail. If I recall correctly, you were quite nice. In the 55 years you raised rollers, do you remember the night you got into bed and woke up an arrogant jerk? You don't seem as nice as the guy I talked to. Your comments on these threads are getting tiresome. I am ok with you posting pics of your "beautiful" birds, by try not to talk so much, I'm running out of Tylenol.

Starfire. I sent scott a pic of my best hen. He E-mailed me back and said it had a bad back. I told him nothing else about the bird. Well it was a bumper! But,it came out of it. I bread it to my best 10ft fast Henderson cock. I was flying the young in the fall fly. In nov. a very knowledgeable roller Man been in pigeons since 8 yrs. old. flew rollers for years and years. Mainly John Weims birds and Rick Mee birds direct from them and also hung with Monty when he was alive. He handled all 11 kit birds from my fall fly kit. And when he was done he told me the 4 I was flying out of that hen, without knowing they were out of that hen, had bad backs. And I hadn't said one word to as what Scott had said months earlier. Goes to show Scott is not full of SHIT. Some have the wisdom and eye to back up their statements. So, if I was serious about flying quality rollers I would do more listening and less talking. K nayler, hows it going,
You need to reread my last post, I said out of the 4 diferent people i got my crest one was questionable,i guarantee the othe 3 had pure rollers that, is not admiting all my crest are crossed only from one guy that i got a cock from and that bird produces very fast rollers.
the other crest i know they didnt do anything to get the crest, one guy had the pair together for 4 years ond then got 2 in one round, without any crest in his loft.
To me they are my fun project and dont realy cear what anyone says ,if you had your family since 1982 they become predictable so with my ptoject i get the exitment of wondering how they are going to roll.

Hector, on the two birds that I have seen you post. One had a peak and one was a crest. Now Merry Christmas to you and your family. Enjoy your birds, To me they are crossed and not pure rollers but if you say they are then they are.

Stan you will never catch me fabricating anything, I was passed on what was told to me , it is obvious that the story was correct by the obvious crosses in many of your birds , plus there was no reason to doubt it in the first place, Stan you might fool some, but not many.
Holiday ? it's Christmas buddy, and I wish you and your family the best !!!!!

Actualy Kelly I think that there has been much that can be learned from this stuff , look at what has been going on, first you get a slough of mutts posted with a bunch of silly claims , of which are no more a Birmingham Roller than my dumb duck is , and if my duck rolled, qaulity or lack of would probably at least be equel.
Then you get many birds posted that represent the Birmingham Roller , many of which has at least the potential to roll with qaulity and the mental strength to hold up to it.
I really have not seen any personal attacks here,I have only seen cow turd paddys kicked over to expose that it's bullshit through and through , some just want others to think that the cow turd paddy is a chocolate cake.
But it is Cristmas eve and it's time to put this stuff to rest. Merry Chrismas all !!!
