You know , it is starting to get real tough around here , I have Joe Urbon to deal with , then there is also Joe Emberton that is also more than willing to put a real whipping on me also.
Now there is all of this fresh blood coming up looking to slap me around, guys like David Vang, Arris Puna , Steve Loza , Paul Fullerton , and now even Bill Crider after pulling in birds from ol Joe Borges , my God where is it going to end ????????
So I been thinking, I think that color birds and color breeding along with crests,hoods ect.is the way to go for these guys ,After all I have read that you can breed for both and from what I am reading they are far better than anything out there that actualy is a Birmingham Roller.
I also suggest that if the bird doesn't have the back strength to even keep the tail from flopping off the deck,BREED IT !!!
And don't pay any attention to type,station, charactor ect. IT IS ALL MEANINGLESS.
Some of the claims that I have reading about here far exceed anything than I could ever accomplish with "my" birds , so obviously I am on the wrong path, therefore I stand corrected guys.
So please , start paying attention to the Slobberboys and the like's of them on this forum , please please please !!!!

What's up with Borges? I heard he sent all of his birds out and after some surgery plans to move back to Utah?

Brian I tried calling him last weekend but he was out, him and Fran had been down with the flu for a while.
I heard Kieser took a few birds but most were sent to a few younger friends in Utah, Joe isn't getting aound real easy and then he has been getting hammered hard on top of it.
I hated to hear the news as Joe was and is a real treasure .

Yep, he sure is. He's very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about his birds. I enjoyed the small amount of time I spent up there with him.

Well Scott I for one look for a total package. That being said my total package more than likely doesnt fit yours and nor would yours fit mine. But I understand what you mean by these traits and I too look at them but I dont think I place as much emphasis on them as you do. My deciding factor is and will always be in the air. I dont breed fopr color and you know that but I dont mind a pretty colored bird just wont mix it with my own. My preferance and nothing more. I have always said that as long as I dont have to feed them I dont care what anybody does with their birds so long as they are honest about it. There would probably be alot more roller hobbyist today if everybody that sold a bird was honest about the bird. Joe

Paul, I think Scott meant slapping him around with quailty kits of BR's I could be worng. wouldn't be the first time!! You would be easier to beat in comp. if you guys would start breeding for color.

It's never going to end Scott. It's all a bad dream for you, lol. A lot of us are where we are because of guys like you who do everything they can to help us out. I've gotten lots of info from you and BMC.
