Stan you have this titled Mealy cock. This is an attractive bird but doesnt look like any Mealy I have ever seen. If this is mislabled what would you call this bird. He looks to me like a heavily ticked lavender but I know almost didly about genetics so I am curious. Joe

Hey Joe;
You are right .It's a Lavander With the heavy black ticking.Mealy is the only thing I can think of to call it .I don't know crap about genetics or color.I don't know of any other name that could fit this bird.Do you? Whats your discription of mealy.

Stan if you go down about 10 posts to cdetorres's post and look at the 6th and 8th birds down from the top those are what I am use to as far as mealies are concerned. I havent raised one since the early 80's when I had Chan Grover birds but they are nice. I do think that lavender tick is a classy looking bird though. Joe
