11 birds in a temporary holding pen while modifications were being made to kit box this past spring
Coon = 5 Birds = 0

Jerry Looks like you had a lot of bad luck there.Hope 2007 will be a better year for you.Is a coon =racoon just that in England we dont have these animals over here? W@YNE UK

That would piss me off....for sure. I would find time to learn to cook raccoon. I hope you were not planning to stock any of these.

damm i feel for ya i know how that is i left the trap open a few months ago. to go out the next morning and find 8 dead birds and feathers everywhere. and a cat traped inside. i lost 1 of my best. 2 days before this i said oh yes im going to stock her well i waited to long. the good thing is that cat has not been back since then hmmm wonder where he went

That picture almost makes a sick feeling...and they aint even my birds. I cant imagine how you felt upon finding such a mess. Guess the coon got sleepy after a full belly full of roller, huh?

I leave a have a heart trap out with some cat food in it. I started to do this about 2 years ago when I saw a raccoon eating some dog food around the house so I went in side to get a gun and a flash light, when I shined it in to the woods I saw 6 pairs of eyes. I sot 3 opossums in the last month it doesn't help that they have cleared over 500 acres in the past 2 years in a 3 miles of my house.
