It just now dawned on me that I now have over 1100 posts on this site. This is prof positive that I do not have a life and the shameful thing about it is that there still are color breeders. They are like terrorist who go after the young and entise them with pretty birds and convince them that they roll, too just as good as a regular roller. Then the young people will continue to perpetuate the idealogy and the terror goes on generation after generation......it is frieghtening. They start from little sleeper cells in larger organizations like the NBRC and some even gain office within the organization and the sleeper cell gains routes and grows. Where is it all going to lead us. It is prophisized that in the end there will be, but just a few of the true believers left....o' my o'my! the humanity of it all.

Weird ain't it? This is just a little cutesie joke.

Nick,
I use to be a color man but thanks to you and some others I would rather see that ROLL, colors are for kids. When I set down with drink in hand, give me that oooool' fashion roll baby, thats what set down to see. Let the kiddies play with there colors. We will be happier then them. When they grow up they will forget there color and be ready for the roll then.

Here ya go Longarm

I think this is where Pensom understood the breed to have been developed from along with the Whittingham`s in the mid 1800`s.

I found this on page 78

"The lofts that perfected the good rollers that rolled for several yards with rapid speed and quality were from several lofts in Birmingham of Skidmore,Payne and Bellfield."

"hey guys
nick, milo scott and others I want to thank you for a wonderful trip into my past. see I grew up in a small town in south east texas by the name of vidor. A queit town where every person stood together agint one thing - those of color - It was preached in church, posted on a huge billboard at the town boundry and practiced in the town square where grew what else but a white oak tree. As I grew older I threw off the shackles of ignorance and bigitry and accepted many people in my life but although I have decided not to go back to that place I enjoy the trips home reading many of the posts here. c.j."

Are you frigging kidding me ??????? This STUPID post doesn't even deserve a comment , what a shmuck.

Ive had an Andalucian for 10 years(still fertil),
My only color bird in my loft,I have to tell you if i keped that bird for that long it wasnt for his color,he has produced so many top quality deep spinners that i cant say my pedegree birds are any better,i have him mated to a blue chk, the onece that come out blue anyone of you would be impresed by the roll to say the least, but if it was Andalucian you would aoutomaticly find something wrong, thats sad that people look at color to judge.

C.J., please go back and reconsider your post. The dots you are implying and trying to connect have no place on this board.

If I thought any post or its philosophy was racist and put on this board, I would remove it.

I think you are confusing the term "color" and its uses here to mean something other than its intended use.

I do not believe for a moment that anybody who breeds "colors", "rare colors" or whatever in their birds believes those guys you mentioned are relevant to your story.

Thanks C.J., I am still deciding if I should just remove this entire thread. Caught your last post before I deleted the thread. For the moment I will leave it up and see where it goes.

Probably names should be removed though. Don't you agree?
