wondering if there was a breed standard set by one governing body ( club) that tells you what a roller needs to look like? with my pouters they tell you what is accepted and that is that.there was a man named dr hollanded lived in iowa he could turn any bird into something different in a matter of a few generations muffs crests whatever you can imagine. some of you should read his books out there on genetics it probabbly would help in your quest to add all of your modifersto your birds. personally i believe all breeds have been messed with to a extent over the years sometime change is good sometimes not. be happy with what makes you happy.

People on this forum dont need to read the book because they have already mastered genetics but wont admit it.

Actually how it should look like is described in Levi's book The Pigeon. There are several publishings that describe what a Birmingham looks like and they do not vary much. It just breeders like Stan have taken them in a different direction(LOL).

it would be hard to set a standard on performance i guess each person expects different out of his birdsin the air.maby only show birds need a tight standardto be set on them.
