Red Cell is NOT going to make your birds roll any more or any less....It is a vitamin supplement that is high in iron. It is used for horses...especially performance horses. It is another supplement that keeps your birds healthy. I have used it for years and it is a supplement...just like everything else. Some claim that it makes the birds roll better...and some claim it makes the wheels fall off...either way...do not use it all the time because of the high iron content. I use it maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I give it to the breeders before the breeding season...mid breeding season....and at the end of the breeding season...for the kit birds...it is part of my competition prep...which is for the two big flys...and then I give them a shot mid summer....and mid winter...that is it..no more no less....IT IS NOT A magic potion

I know it is not a magic potion, I'd like to give my kit some for spring, just wondering where I could get some though...

I get mine at a feed store, anywhere that sell horse supplies. Atwoods also carries it, if you have one close by! I use mine a little more often in my breeders pen, once every couple of weeks, seems like my sqeakers grow a touch faster. Also use apple cider vinager once a week if possible.Has a lot of benifits also. You ask 10 different people and your gonna get 10 different suggestions though. JMO Good luck!

Paul,
parlor and his bro feeds their kit birds milo. I told his bro that if he must feed one seed than to feed wheat. Told him to change to wheat and maybe hit them up with a little red cell or vitamin and he should see a difference as his birds have been deprived of nutrients since only on milo. I told him that maybe his birds were bouncing or rolling down cause of maybe just feeding milo and the birds are not strong enough to handle the roll.

Parlor, you guys can get it at any feed store. Just ask for it. I only tried a couple of times and it made my birds popcorn roll so I didn't like it. Every now and then I'll use it in the breeders loft.

Dave, I agree. I have used it and believe me if used right and not very often you will see a difference. it will bring the best out of your birds. If you use it too much it does not work. I know a few top flyers use it as well.

Dave,

I agree with you...did not know he was only feeding milo...he for sure needs to use a mix and or wheat...I just did not want him to think that he is going to feed Red Cell and it will make them super birds...Like Kevin said...if used right it will bring out the best in your birds...but it is not just the red cell alone...it is the combination of flying, feeding, supplements, worming...etc. I myself use red cell as a part of my preperation for a comp. It is just a tool. Just because your birds are doing 5' rolls...means a serving of red cell is going to make them 20 rollers..LOL...It may give a good team of birds a little boost....with the added vitamins...but it may give that same team to much boost...It has worked both ways for me...good and bad...

Just wanted him to know that it is not a miracle roller potion...it is a tool...like all the other tools.

Oh...it is not good to use all the time..because it is off the charts with iron...

Why are you using Milo alone? If you cannot find feed, just go to Wal-Mart and buy their wild bird seed. That has more protein in it than just Milo. I like the way my birds fly on Milo alone but I manage them diferently and not all the time they get Milo. Wheat is the best for the birds and even that is not good enough. If you give your birds too much vitamins and boosters then they will become racers on you. Be careful...
