I feel your pain Brian, hang in there man. I was looking at two birds the other day that came from two different families and noticed some similar physical characteristics, like narrower primary flights and shorter keels. These birds came from two well known fanciers that don’t even have the same strain. A feel that in time our best birds will start looking like the best birds from other families. What do you think?

Well, they are all over the board. Short; tall; little; long; big; handsome; ugly..................but mostly little and handsome.
I am in the process of making them a little bigger, but not anymore handsome......they are about as handsome as they are going to get.....kinda like me.

I will touch on something that I read that was written by the late Monty Neibel. He stated that although we do not purposely breed for small birds that over time and selecting the best each year the stock will naturally get smaller. There is such a thing as too small but if they have the heart and conditioning and a balanced body structure then that is what you are looking for. ---------- J.M.Urbon Lofts A Proven Family of Spinners http://www.freewebs.com/jmurbonlofts/
