We are in the middle of this current ice storm and artic blast that is going through the midwest. Our power is going in and out and they said the power could stay out for upto 3 to 4 days.

Some services are still running (post office, ups) we should be able to get it out but no promises over next few days.

The power is on right now so I thought I would post this. Wish us luck here in the Ozarks!

Back in the 1970s, the Ozark Mountain Daredevils were a major band in my life. I still sometimes pick up my acoustic and play some of their old riffs.

Funny, I always used to think of summer when listening to the Ozarks. You've ruined the illusion, Tony!

Tony,

We are 100 miles to the East of St.Louis. Soaking wet, spitting a little snow but mostly unskathed at this point, things could change anytime. Good Luck my friend.

Went through the same kind of storm a few years ago. Sounded
like Steven King's "Langalers" were coming. Stay in stay warm see you after!

Hey Tony,
How is your area holding up? We have been without power since saturday morning. We are fortunate to have family in Bolivar that hasn't lost power but for a few hours, so we are staying with them. They are 3 miles from my place so not so bad as I drive over and check birds a few times a day. We have hundreds of trees down all over town. 65000 still without power in this area. Only 2 out of 7 stations are open, and Wal-Mart is even closed down!!! LOL , I have tons of pics that I will post after getting them downloaded onto the home computer after power is restored at home. Until then, stay safe! Jerry

Tony or anyone in Missouri.. I have a good friend in Purdy, Ray Sanchez.. I have not been able to get a hold of Ray since Friday.. If any of you have any word on that area or if Ray is all right.. I would sure appreciate the information.. Ray lives alone and that cannot be good at times like these.. Thank you and I hope you and your families are OK,, KGB
