Honest... At first I thought jaconette...Hmmm , but not sure the family. I like the overall look and the only real proof is in the air and your opinion. MY wish list for her would be this...

I`d like to see her carry her flights a little higher

I`d like to see a shorter beak, not sure why, just my preference

and I`m not sure what it is I`m seeing on her toenails, .are they curled around? Or is it just an illusion I`m seeing in the pics?

I do like the feathered feet, again not sure why as it has absolutley no bearing on the roll in the bird. just me.

I really like the feather and overall look of the bird. I`d give her a try. I got a couple old family jacs with the same feathering and boots with the color of Black Rain. They`re young but if one of them is a cock I`d try her with him just to see what happens. Again , just my opinion though. And I aint no expert.......

fly onnnnn...Butch

jacs nope, her toenails are a little long but not curled around I saw that when you said it I will trim them tomorrow, Joe Bob gave her to me yesterday he said that she rolls 20' and fast, I like the feathers on the feet to I asked for that bird way back in spring.

Hey Belle how's it going!
The hen is very nice but not exactly what I like in a Roller. Everyone has there own personal preference when it comes to rollers. I have seen some awesome spinning birds with boots on there feet but all mine are clean legged. Just what I like.
My Suggestion to you is don't fly her if Joebob gave her to you! If he says she is proven take it at that and breed her.
Trim the nails down with a fingernail board to get the sharpness off them so she wont accidently poke a hole in her eggs. If you raise a bunch I will come over this summer and watch them fly with you.
Good luck
Your friend
Ronnie

Sounds good Ronnie I am in the middle of building new kit boxes and have some horse things to work out right now, I am not going to fly her my luck a hawk will eat her the one time I let her out.LOL I trimmed her nails down 2 days ago I am hoping to have a good kit this fall this is only my 2nd breeding and all my good ones from last year have been sitting now for a few days and the new hen should lay in a few days. Have a good one Justin
