Hi list, I had a great day on Dec. 30th, 2006. My friends Morris Deryke of Schoolcraft Mi. and Bob Munson of Dixon, IL. came over for a day of flying my kits and lots of roller talk. Bob's one of the great flyers from IL. You can read some of his flys in Sept-OCT. issue of NBRC bulletin on Pages 46 and 61-62. Morris and Bob have flown rollers a long long time. They share their wisdom of rollers with me and help me out a lot. Morris has given me an excellent start with Mee's and Weins. I have been to his house and watched his kits perform a number of time's. Sure has some fine kits! I've got two new guys in my area interested in rollers and Morris got them going with some fine breeders. They both have joined the NBRC and we are going to start a small southern Mi. roller club. Another great flyer is Wendell Spisak of Spruce MI. He has given me some MEE hens and I just paid shipping. One of the hens was going to his "A" team and he parted with it and sent it to me. Had to hurt! A great roller man full of knowledge and always willing to answer my questions. Can't hardly wait till I can go north and visit him again. I'm so fortuneate to know theses great flyers. Scott Campbell helps with my questions also. I'll be breeding some Campbell pairs I got from high bid on NBRC auction. Scott's going to slip in a few extras. Not to fly but ones to breed ! What a guy! This spring, I'll start breeding them, as soon as Scott can ship them. Can't hardly wait. I'm so lucky to know theses guys. I'm in roller heaven. If I don't do well in competition in a few years, it is all my fault. As I have a better start than most. I love this hobby very much and the men and women I've met in the hobby are all very nice. I'm finally liking meeting new people.I guess there are more decent people in the world than I thought! Down to earth people, I'm trying to say. In the first pic from L-R Morris DeRyke, Kim Tappenden,Frank Kazor, Bob Munson The second pic is Morris and Frank looking over a couple of Weins hens. Take care all, Anyone in southern Mi. wanting to be in a roller club give me a call anytime 517-283-7043

Thanks, Tapp. It's always good to put a face with a name...well, not always! (LOL!). I share your enthusiasm for getting together with roller guys in your area......ya can't beat it! I stood under a kit of rollrs with Bob at the Portland NBRC Convention last summer. A finer gentleman and more knowledgeable roller man you will never meet! Tell him I said hello when you see him.
YITS,
Cliff
