Thanks guys,
I went to refuel the generator a few minutes ago a WOOHOO, power was back on. I turned off the breakers to the well and hot water heater and will check them tomorrow for possible damage as the power was off 5 days. Just glad I have heat and light back to the pigeons. I have been cleaning debris in town to help out. Slow progress... Jerry

Hi Jerry, Glad your powers on. Gets old after awhile! It's a good deal you helping out in the neighbor hood. That"s what it looks like here in southern Mi. Ice has been on the trees for 5 days straight, So far. I never lost power, but all around me did. Some just got there power back today. Been out since sunday.

Ouch,
Hopefully no one got hurt. That is probably the same storm we received here. Got about a foot of snow. For photos of MN storm, reference to what I attached on the "Winter Flying" topic.

We're getting it now here in Oklahoma! Accumulating fast and supposed to be getting worse for the next 24 hrs! My electric service wires are already sagging a foot lower than normal On my way to the grocery srore for supplies now!

Hey guys,
yep, the ice is piling up again!..we have between 40 and 60 thousand without power now..I am one of the lucky ones with it... I worked last night from 5pm, and was supposed to get off at 3am, but ended up working til 7am due to all of the accidents in the county...I am walking out of the door again..Hope this nite is less eventful!...Stay warm everyone!

Man, its bad out there! Limbs breaking every couple of minutes! Power is out over parts of town but only blipped here once so far! I'll try to get a picture tommorrow!

We havent lost power at the house, but there are roughly 30,000 without in the area...The small towns look like ghost towns, with most of the roads blocked by limbs and power lines. I spend most of my time checking for stranded motorist,etc...

They say its the worst ice storm in history here! I'm one of the few with power at home this morning, but the cable and internet is down. I'm being sneeky at work is the only reason that I'm posting now! LOL
Looks like a war zone here! I don't think there is a top left in a tree anywhere in sight! Today it is melting a little and that is even worse. When a chunk breaks off the electric lines, it causes a whipping action and the poles are snapping right and left!
Got a few pics yesterday, I will try to post a couple whenever the internet comes back!
Right now, I'm gonna sneak home and take all the vehicles down and fill them up, you know this will be a good excuse to jack the gas prices up! LOL
Good luck and God bless to all, I know there are a lot of people in a bad way right now! Conserve your food and water, looks like it might be awhile before we get things back to normal!
