Here is an egg I cracked open this morning. It appears the young made it long enough to turn into a half formed pigeon. You can clearly see the beak, wings, legs. The other egg hatched 2 days ago and is fine. I have had this happen a few times over the past few years, as I am sure most of you have. The egg wasnt rough, no lines running thru it,etc... What would cause it...Loft is heated between 50 and 60 degrees...Jerry

Wayne, Thanks for the article. I read the same article word for word in an issue of the NBRC. The first part of it being because of jarring the egg, being to cold, etc. didnt appeal to me because none of those were present unless the Hen/Cock were moving them more than normal. I believe I had this happen 3 times last year, and re-read that article to see if I could learn something, but didnt./...Maybe I am to dumb to comprehend?!LOL....Looking for more reasons maybe from others more experienced than myself...Jerry ---------- Eat, sleep, Cowboys, Pigeons...
