Just to let you know Birmingham Rollers are getting very expensive and getting nearer to the racing pigeons in people paying huge money for example a pr of dave moseley pigeons just went for £390 that is $766.2127 of us dollars on our English nbra site is a pr of pigeons worth this much what do you guys think.? regards W@yne uk www.nbra.co.uk

Ridiculous for a pr of anybodys birds! but its an auction for a good cause.

I would never pay that kind of money for a pair of birds even if they are Dave Moseley's birds(not unless he is willing to pay for the freight to the states-LOL).
What is really funny about it is that the guy who bought them may be a terrible loft manager and he will quickly screw uf some perfectly good birds. Once he has screwed them up he then will tell others that Dave's birds are junk............how many times have you seen that happen?
A lot of people think they can buy a champion kit anf then mismanage them into junk.

Wayne, I've been disussing the birds with Pete Handy and we found it odd that none of the donators actually stated that their birds were breeding pairs. As you know, there's a huge difference between two birds picked at random from a bloke's loft, compared to a proper breeding pair. So, those prices were indeed high, given that the buyer would be taking a chance as to whether any of the pairs would breed well. Mind you, although Dave didn't actually say as much, he has tended to donate breeding pairs. He's a very generous guy.

Yes Shaun the birds are not stated as being proven. However i just used daves birds as an example. Yes Shaun Dave is a very kind guy also. nick also stated a good point good birds in the wrong hands are not worth anything. regards W@yne uk
