Hey George I plan on entering 2 kits. My A-Team will be made up of all Ruby Rollers, most will be 06's and a couple older hens.

My B-Team will be about half 06's and the rest probably 07's. I have a couple Jac Ruby crosses (they were fostering so I let them hatch some of their own young to see what they would do).

If the weather will warm up to at least the 40's here I will start my training program with my sites on the World Cup.

Hola George!!
Good question!!I just started with Rollers last year so don't have alot of birds to work with.I have 20 birds flying which I raised myself last season, and 16 birds I was given by Al Hunt up in Lumby,B.C.All Neibles birds with the exception of 4 I have which are 1/4 Barrett,3/4 Neible.I'm hoping the preds aren't too hard on me and I can put one decent kit of 20 up when the time comes.Just started flying them again a week ago and have had some success in that at least they are kitting well and flying the right height and length of time.Gotta work 'em now and get the roll happening. The feed tricks will be a challenge.
Oye Tony,
Good luck,eh!!Yer gonna need it.Like the rest of us.LOL.Hey.You're gonna put 07 birds into comp this spring??I wouldn't have thought a bird born this year would have what it takes to compete in May already. What's goin' on there in Mo.?You get yer bands early there???LOL.
YITS,
Kelly.

I am in ready or not...no matter what..... I put the team up. This year will be re-building year AGAIN..LOL...lost my A-team a couple months back...but my B----I mean new A-team is really starting to put it together....The new A-team consists of 1-04 hen....3-05 birds and the rest are all 06 birds. The B-team is all 06 birds and they kind of suck so far to be honest with you..LOL!! but they are starting to come along....I have 16 in my A-team right now lost 3 birds in the last 2 weeks...to a hawk attack...hawk did not get the birds...it just chased them...and they never quit flying..LOL!! chased them right out of town..never to return.

Anyway...I am ready.

I'll be there with bells on, I will start assembling the team in the next week or two , which will consist of ten 05 and older as a core and ten 06 birds.
After loosing so many of my oldbirds last year it has been a bummer not having a full team (20) of real work horses.
I think that once I assemble the best of the yearlings in with these oldbirds that it is going to be a very good team once they settle down.
Right know many of the yearlings have just a touch too much roll and my hope is that within the next 2 1/2 months they settle down ,I think once in with the oldbirds it will help also.

A team is looking pretty decent. The B team is pretty much wrung out. A few adjustments and I`ll have a relatively competetive kit. I think I am flying about 4/17.

Got a reduced chick thats so bald it looks freaky. It`s our of a blue spread and an ash spread. The few pins showing are looking pretty dark.

Seems like a long way off, but I know it's just around the corner! I have a core of 7 '05 cocks and a hen or two. I pulled the best holdover hens to line breed back to their sires, so they won't be available until the fall. The hard part will be selecting from the 28 or so '06 birds to fill the kit.

Count me in. I will have 18 birds returning from last year and a mess of 06 birds to choose the last 2 from if I feel the need to. I certainly won't add them just to have 20 but if they look like they will be able to help me then they are in. I have 2 03 birds and 3 04 birds and 8 05 birds and the remainder are 06 birds. I pulled a couple 05 birds out this last season for stock and that left me a couple short. Joe
