What is up with all of these guys that seem to be regulars at Slobbermongers posting here ? , but never posting on threads where people have questions that evolve around flying, breeding, feed, health , kit management ect. ect. ect. , it is ever so obvious that their only intent is to keep throwing gas on the fire. I agree with you but you need to realize that youself and clear away from their posts. Just don't respond and we will clearly stay away from responding to them. They are known by know and we all can as a team not respond to their posts collectively.

Scott, Your KNOWLEDGE of the Birmingham Roller is the best weapon you have against those you disagree with. You, Brian McCormick,Nick,Tony and others always respond quickly and with expert adice when there are issues involving health, breeding, flying, feeding ect.I read every one of the abovementioned poster's comments, because they are full of valuable information.I don't know the best way to avoid the frenzies that have been going on lately, but it seems like certain words or phrases are thrown out and everyone goes into the attck mode.I don't think people from the NPRA site are trying to destroy this site, there is just too much valuable information here.I have visited many roller sites and this one is the best, thanks to you and the other contributors.I agree with most your arguments. It is obvious visiting other sites, that the rollers for sale are merely genetic projects that have gone wrong.Newbies will eventually find this out.I'm sure you have purchased rollers in the past, and they were'nt what, they were made out to be.Sometimes it's better to steer someone in the right direction rather than beat them over the head and drag them there.I would appreciate it,if you could post some pictures of your best performers and indicate the features (Type)that you like about them, and what we should look for in a good performer. Thanks for your help in the past.

Scott, The answer to your question is simple. There are many of us "roller addicts", like David Strait, Eric, myself and many others, who try to learn from, and contibute to all discussions about rollers in a wide variety of topics, breeding, training, flying, feeding, genetics, colors and modifiers, competition, judging...all aspects of the breed.....where ever we find a conversation. (Maybe you were talking about a different type of visitor to the site.) It is my sincere desire to treat others with respect, even when we disagree (and I do not always adhere to that when the debate gets heated). If I am successful in that effort than I will not be banned from the site. If I am not, and the moderators get the impression that my goal is nothing more than causing trouble, then I can expect to receive my walking papers. Tony makes perfect sense to me..... YITS, Cliff
PS The site is working beautifully now, by the way, technically speaking.

Cliff , members like you Dave and a few others aren't who I am talking about here , sure we bump heads on certain issues , and we take far to many jabs at each other than we should , ok ok maybe jabs is an understatement, more like full "body blows" LOL. But also you guys take yourselfs into other area's and topics where all can learn from. Scott

Scott, I appreciate that clarification. When the discussions are about "guys from the other site" or "color breeders" or other generalities, sometimes it is difficult to know just who the discussion is being directed to or about. And the old addage "if the shoe fits" doesn't work cause some guys keep tryin' to force me into shoes that I don't wear! LOL! Cliff

AireDale , I just got a new camera , this weekend I 'll try and put something together along with what I am trying to achieve and the birds that are progressing me towards my goals and why these "particular" birds. It is pretty interesting just how tight everything is as far as what is giving me consistancy in the stock loft as far good stable hard rolling birds. I can't stress enough on the importance of finding those "few" right birds and circling around them to see where it goes, many of my breeding game plans were just dead ends as the prodigy did not produce the same , and then I stumbled onto what is moving me forward and got me out of that frustrating hit and miss syndrome.

---------- Scott, Did you really just stumble onto the key? I figure it was probably a bit more along the lines of stay power and keen observations. More of a credit is due you than just a bit of blind luck I figure. haha I don't always see eye to eye with you Pard when fur starts flying but I admire the heck out of what you have accomplished with your birds and the effort you have put forth for the sport. Thank you for that. Jimbo Ovalo, Texas "We Don't Rent Pigs"
