I always fly two kits, and they are mixture of both old and young, usually one is heavier on the young side with a few old birds that weren't cut out for the other kit. If they make it through the winter, they will be flown in the WC too.

Kenny. I only fly the Fall Fly 11 bird Comp.I fly 2 kits. One kit is made up of old birds and 2 or 3 young birds. The other kit is all young birds.Of the young bird kit I flew last Fall I have replaced 2 over the Winter that didn't meet my standard.David
Well Kenny my objective is to fly a good holdover kit but mother nature has a different objective I'm afraid. I would rather fly a good holover kit of all older birds but I usually end up with some young birds in there for one reason or another. Joe

I usually have a mixed kit with a majority of older birds and yearlings...with some early hatch young birds in the team. My Fall Fly team had a couple 04 birds a handfull of 05 and three or four 06 birds.
I would love to have a full old bird team...but it never ends up that way.
