Starve is not the right word. Cut back on the feed if you are feeding more than 8 ounces per 10 birds. And, make sure you are working them. When the wheather warms up I have on ocasion seperated the hens from the cocks with the younger birds and it works well. The older birds tend not to be so troublesome. The older hens don't put up with the crap.

My opinion.............Nick

try maybe darkening the kit box some. That will help keep them quiet and settled..Jerry

If your birds are fed right and flown right...you should not have the issues of cocks being cocky. If you are flying them and feeding them the proper rations...the cocks just want to rest and regroup.

But that is not always a fact...>I have had some cocks being cocky no matter what....I will either eliminate that cock or move it to another team....I have yet to seperate my cocks from hens....but you can seperate them and still fly them together too. Brian McCormick does it that way...I think

Luis,
Had that problem last year. Flew the snot out of them for a few days and cut back the feed at the same time. Went back to the regular fly timing with the lower amonut of feed and the problem was pretty much solved. There are always a few knuckleheads who have more testosterone than brains. They are first on the move list.It doesn`t pay to coddle a full grown bird.
