Luis,
Thanks for the info. How long has it been since you left Cuba??Do you still have family there? We'll be staying in bed and breakfast style places to get closer to the people.Wife and I both speak fluent Espanol so no problem there.I'm collecting a sport bag full of baseball gear to give away and I expect that to go over well.My dad must have left 1/2 dozen bicycles there over the years.
I'm especially interested in the music scene.Last year we saw El Coro Nacional at Port Place Theater in Nanaimo and also Afro-Cuban Allstars. Both excellent shows.I love to play congas and djembe so will be into tracking down musicians to jam with.
May the economic embargo against Cuba end soon.
Salud,
Kelly

I remember talking to someone several months ago about rollers in Cuba. Don`t remember who though. He couldn`t get a certain grain over there. He either had a few rollers or was looking for some. It might be someone Juan Fernandez from Mexico knows.

Luis,
Interesting to hear some of your history.I will pick up some of Marti's writings.I've heard of him and take it he was a famous man for some of his ideas. We're hoping to go to Cuba next January after our Christmas visit to my wife's home in Colombia so I'll definately let you know how the trip goes.If you want to send anything or any messages to freinds or family there, just let me know and I'll do my best.
Kind Regards,

Luis,
Yes I read a little.Interesting for sure.Let me get a chance to read more so we can discuss his writings a little more in depth.I'm real busy these days pruning fruit trees and coming home totally beat.Gotta take the wife down to Victoria today for an interview for a high tech job(and money too!).Maybe my dream of having as much time as Monty had to spend on birds is coming true!!LOL.
