I was thinking..Is leaving too much pigeon feed in the breeding loft effect the youngster. I blieve that leaving too much food in the loft will cause the breeders to neglect thier youngster. I dont know for sure. I experience this before with some of my breeders. PLus, some breeders want to leave thier young ones and breed somewhere else, leaving their 2 week old baby all alone in the lonely nest. And is Solid Breeder alwaysa a good choice to breed since they are solid breeder by which it can grantee survival to thier youngs..

Thanks

Always have food in front of your breeders.Grit too.And clean water.I've had birds lay another round of eggs after 11-12 days. Not unusual at all.

Hey Wash,
I believe it is the other way around. If you do not provide food for the breeders all the time, it will cause them to get off of the nest, which is not what you want..Jerry

it's not unusual, most pairs lay eggs after the previous batch has developed their feathers, you don't have a messed up parent, heck you have good producers...

washington,
I suggest you only feed type of seed so the breeders do not get picky, Milo isn't a good muscle developer and I know I fed my birds Milo and most of them turned out rolldowns because they didn't have enough muscles to control the roll, you should try wheat I've been having a pretty positive effect from wheat, noticed more muscles within the breeders.
