I was thinking about another thread where my character was questioned and why this guy says he doesn't support this site with purchases...he accused me of allowing some to bully others in the forum...

This person said that he is very careful about where he spends his money. So he doesn't support this site by making purchases here.

If I eliminated the All Roller Talk forum, would he be happy with that? I guess so, I mean, he must buy from Foys or something cuz they don't have an open forum for rollers, wait, do they even have a pigeon forum? Well at least no one is being bullyed there, right?

Or I could charge for access to the forum and pay a moderator with the fees to make sure no one ever disagrees or becomes upset. (any takers? any subscribers?)

Or, if those of you (and you know who you are) allow what is written in the forum to keep you from making purchases on this site, you are a self-righteous ignoramous.

You either just need to go away or accept the fact that you have in front of you over 2000 pages of roller pigeon talk freely posted from YOUR comrades whose combined experience equals hundreds of years.

RPDC has become a large international community, most of us know each other or know of each other. It has become so popular it has taken on a momentum of its own, there are so many who come here that NO MATTER what is posted, someone is either going to disagree with it or get upset that I did not remove it.

If a world of free flowing ideas, thoughts and opinions is so upsetting to you, why do you keep coming back here? Why bother unless you are a masochist, or maybe could it be because there are enough good people here and information and entertainment to keep you coming back?

If so, then get in, sit down and shut-up or post.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! My friend Tony...Let me tell ya something! For you to stand up for what MOST of us stand for, that speaks volumes in itself! I agree with every word you said, and thought that "that" person who stated that to you was a fool, but kept my words quiet. I for one, as well as many others, have purchased products from you, and will continue to do so. This place gives me a greater insight as to what is going on around the world with all aspects of rollers, and I also get a chuckle out of some of the funnier post, as well as the more uneducated posts..Again, thanks for speaking so stern, and I for 1 will be here unless you tell me otherwise!..Your friend, Jerry

Tony,
Now your talking. I'm going to say I hope that my post was part of your new found attitude. But I have to remind you that you broke your posting policy in that you mentioned the name of another source of pigeon products.LOL. Sorry bro, had to do it to you.
As I said yesterday, starting another forum would be disastrous. Especially when it is by invitation only. You would then be telling everyone else that you don't value their input. That, in my opinion, would be like asking participants here to go to that other site to buy their pigeon products. Your the one who said your trying to run a business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gregg.

Tony,
I just wish to add my support and voice to RPDC. It after all is your site and livelihood. I am not privilage to all the back channel rudrick you must face on a daily basis but I belive it is monumental. From my veiw point most if not all of the so called bickering is enjoyed by both sides. Why would they (both sides) continue if they weren't enjoying the conterversy? This topic free site rocks big time, please limit at your descresion any personal attacks, but also please let this democratic free flow to continue uncensored as much as is possible. I enjoy gleeming a little from all. JMHO

Tony,

I've worked in retail my whole life, and one thing I can tell you for sure, the old saying "the customer is always right" is a tool that certain a--holes use to make them feel big...make them feel like they've got some control over you, don't you ever let them. I'm a Pharmacist and I work for a big corporation, so I have to put up with a lot of shit because the big shots will not back you up. It's different when you own your own business, you don't have to put up with it, you make the rules.

When I was growing up, I use to work in my father's shoe repair store. Some of you may have met my father, and you know that he's a character, and tells it like it is. My father use to throw the a--holes out of his store whenever they tried to bully him, and let me tell you he wouldn't mince his words either. 9 times out of 10, the jerks would apologize to my father and beg him to fix there shoes, they new the quality of his work and that he charged a fair price...of course after the way they acted, the price would go up, heh, heh, heh...but they paid and kept their mouths shut after that. You have to stand up to bullies, it's the only thing they understand, and it makes you feel a whole lot better!

Keep up the good work Tony, and remember, you're the boss!

Tony as far as this site goes, its informative, entertaining and full of characters..as it should be.I love visiting, reading and posting(do it just about everyday). As for posting,we are all civilized and know how to conduct ourselves (we just choose not to sometimes). With certain topics things get out of hand but w/your new posting policy that should be taken care of.As far as your character, what little i know of you i like. You seem like a really good guy.I would certainly buy more products from you if i didn't have you know who..a couple of miles away but i will continue to purchase certain items from you simply because i want to support what you are doing and i appreciate this site and what it provides for the roller enthusiast!

Tony.

Don't get your feathers ruffled. To add to what Ivan has said: Ever see someone get booted in a restaurant? "We reserve the right to refuse service." HA! Show them the door, because the customers will still keep flowing in for what you have here. The booted customer eventually finds some humility, and lands back at a table in no time at all...LOL

I waited until I was 63 years old to get banned; booted; or fired. How you feel about it depends on where or who banned; booted; or fired you. In this case it was the "who". I was not humiliated so I have no desire to return.

I from time to time attempt to enter the site just for the hell of it............I wonder what I would do if I was allowed to re-enter?(LOL)

But, you atre right about the self-rightious attitude that some possess and there are times I feel I qualify for this attitude and I am working on having less and less bouts of it(LOL).

Hard times,
I haven't figured out whether you meant banded or banned?
Irregardless, I figure it was in fun. My grandpa use to say you can call me anything and get away with it if you have a smile on your face. The older you get the more you realize just how true that rings.
Nick,
Don't despair, we all mellow out with age. Hate and rage do nothing but consume the one feeling same. I have to go take a shower and see if I can find that band on my leg.

Nick , not bad , I came in third in the top class , I don't normaly count on placing in this class , nor have I ever placed in this class.
It was a good shoot and weather was perfect , plus shot with some old friends and made some new one's.
I used to shoot very serious and spent every weekend from Feb on gone at tournaments , had a sponsership and all.
I shoot more for enjoyment now, and actualy shoot probably a tad better with age due to thinking through my problems rather than trying to shoot through them.
