The first one is what we do when we ride the ferry home from a busy day in town.Trapping Flies.Gordo's hairdoo isn't right but I'm in prime shape there. The second one is my traps for the kitboxes open.ABS 45 degree pipe elbows screwed into the hole cutouts in the plywood. The third pic is with the door on the traps closed. Can't get much simpler and they can't fly out no way!!!
I used 1/2" stainless screws to hold the traps to the plywood.Ya gotta pre-drill the 3 holes for the screws so ya don't crack the ABS.I have flypens on either end of those 2 kitboxes so I hang another cage over the traps for training the squeaks.I've trained mature birds to this system as well,no problem. Before anybody says anything,I'll be drilling some more holes on the front of the kitbox for more ventilation tomorrow!! Yits, Kelly.

Looks nice kel, How about a pic showing the complete outside of the kitbox? I like the red color..I was gonna paint mine to match the tan on the house, but might change my mind now..Jerry

Nice! I've been thinking of getting something like this for my kit box since the coon or coons came in it using the bobs.
How well does that system work??

Kelly,
Is that color paint or stain? Instead of painting mine I used stain. Now I prefer the stain; easier to apply and it looks better (I think).

Nick, The paint I like to use best is the water-based,solid colour stain.Non toxical, easy clean up. ---------- Kelly

W@yne, The elbows are 4"s.Just trace around them with a pencil and drill a hole inside the circle and jigsaw cut 'em out.Make the hole tight you can always take more off the edges with a rasp file if not quite big enough. ---------- Kelly
