Hey guys, I thought that it would be interesting if you would post a picture of the BEST bird that you have in your loft. If you have 2 that you consider equal, then please pick one and post it..I am wanting to see the different looks of others birds, with consideration to the overall makeup of the look. Please explain why this bird is the best you have....Here is 1 that I think is the best I have at the time..I raised this cock in 04.He came in at 4 months, was as perfect as I have seen in my loft as far as shooting back to the kit, stay middle of the kit, rolled 3 times a minute on average, and was a constant deep bird.He has produced 4 last year just like him..They were all lost in my overfly....please let me know "honestly,as no beating around the bush here" what you think of my bird..Thanks, Jerry
P.S..I suck at picture taking!

It depends on what category the "best" comes from. Do you mean the best producer? The best performer at one time in the past? The best current performer in the kit box? This could go a lot of different ways depending on how people view what their best is. I have a few that I hold in high regard as far as production goes, and one of those was a great, super fast spinner. Their daughter was one of the best spin quality rollers I've seen in the air, but she isn't in the air anymore, but in the breeding loft now. I haven't flown my A team in months, so I don't know who would be best right now. The best one in the B team got ate last week.

Probably my Rocket hen, I can't replace her. They are all replaceable to one degree or another.

Sorry, can't find a picture of her. I had one but can't seem to find it. It was from a few years ago. She's the ugliest pigeon I own, so it wouldn't help you any..lol.

This cock has put 4 birds in my stock loft faster than any I can remember.. His son #11 is one of the best cocks I have flown.. In the WC prelim last year, every man in the yard wanted to handle #11 after the fly.. Deep and fast. #11 is stocked and has a couple young doing a good job also.. I bred #1488 on his full sister and they really nicked.. I'm breeding one of the hens on the #11 cock this year. 1/2 b/s..I plan to build a line around this cock. He #1488 represents what I like in a Birmingham roller. He rolls with the best and produces it.. He produces great roll on distantly related birds and they are just as good when bred tight.. Sorry about rambling on about this cock bird but you asked,, LOL,, KGB

Best Stock Bird
03 Blue Bar Cock (Mort Emami) Flew him for about a year..He was and early 03 hatch. He was 25-35' very fast, excellent quality, kits like glue,Was frequent my perfect bird. He was stocked in 04 and has raised numerous young that are as good as the old man. I have stocked 2 from him already. I am going to stock a grand daughter, Grand son and another son from him..this year.
Best Kit Bird
06 Red Grizzle. She is the best bird in my A-team right now. She is about 30-35', very fast, snaps out, A pattern, and never leaves the kit...I stocked her blue check sister last year..this may be the best bird bred to date. Her sister produced some good birds last year..I am going to a stock son to the sister who is grandson to the blue bar this year...along with this little hen. This hen comes from my Tort Cock and 97 Grizzle hen...she is also Mort Emami.

Paul, I have the daughter of that blue bar and the son of that grizzle. Both are excellent birds. Both of them have the same coloring as them old farts. Going to be stocked this season. Thanks.

Jay,
That is right...you have the daughter to the blue bar and the sister to the grizzle above...but her mother looks just like her...except the pearl eye comes from the sire. I am glad the birds are working out.
