YES he did catch one and held it down with his paws and mouth, he did no harm to the pigeon, scared the the hell out of the bird, and me too, but he sure was proud of what he did for quite a while.
I now use a flag. But the dog wants to go with me everytime I go and let the kit fly. He likes to watch too. I quess he thinks they roll just for him.

i have the same ideas too, but i used the whistle idea. I trained my dog to chase off any birds on the ground by whistle. Great idea.
