How many days do you fly your kit before giving it a day of rest??
I like flying mine 3 days then giving them one day of rest.
What about everyone else??

Jim, it depends on what you are trying to achieve. The schedule you mentioned is what can be considered a strengthening and conditioning schedule. You don't want to stick to that schedule for more than a few weeks otherwise the birds will be strong and fit and increase your chances of overflying them. You have to keep pretty strict on the feed rations flying that schedule. At least that has been my experience. Young kits I fly every day to every other day with several days off inbetween. The A team doesn't fly much unless I am working up to a competition, then the schedule will vary all over the board, starting with the 3 on 1 off then long stretches of flying and long stretches of rest, then every other day until show time. The schedule will vary depending on where they are in the conditioning phase. It is not uncommon to make adjustments to meet what you think the kit needs.

I took advice from Paul last season. Once they come in I drop back to every other day. My A team started getting stiff on me so I went to every third day. They are working better now. Feed adjustments and fly vs rest are the keys to performance.Last time I flew them back to back days they were pretty stiff.
Sometimes ya gotta shake em up. I am considering putting them up on wheat/fly for four or five days in a row, then dropping back to EOD on full rats for two weeks. That oughta shake em up.
Just keep working with them you`ll get it
