What is everyone's idea of the ideal time of day to fly our rollers?? I never thought of a time of day being better or the best to of day. But is there??? Whats your opinion?? I fly mine around noon my self or after 5pm.

I`ll fly any time of day that I get the time. During the week I cant fly in the A.M. but on the weekend I fly morning, afternoon and late afternoon. I would prefer my birds not be dialed in on a certain time to fly every day because the judge may not always be on YOUR schedule. My birds will fly any time of day but I`m not sure if a certain time creates better roll. That may depend on your birds.....

I like to fly my youngbirds twice a day. Early morning at 7:30 and then again when I return at 5:00 or 6:00. Flying at a later time of the day is only risky for my older birds. The youngsters I can keep nice and low, and tuned into the rattle of the feed can. The A team is a lunchtime fly during the week. I have had the birds locked down for a while, so I am thrilled to be coming up to the fly season. Unfortunately that is the reality of flying here on the coast, where flying year round is just not a good idea.

Milo,

When you fly your young birds 2 times per day, do you only give them a very small amount of their daily feed after the first fly to get them to trap and the rest after the 2nd fly? Thanks.
