I started feeding my rollers with just mylo and today one of my rollers that normally flips, started to roll really deep...! I was suprised that she was able to do that with good controll. but towards her landing, she crashed onto the roof. She is okay. So my question is, "Is feeding my birds just mylo bad"???

If you fed it today it didn`t affect your fly. Takes a day or two for whatever you feed to kick in usually. Milo is high in carbs and gives your birds a lot of energy. So they roll a little more than normal.
It isn`t advisable to keep them on straight milo for an extended period. It isn`t a good single seed to feed exclusively. Milo is also quite airy. When you feed milo you probably need to feed more than you would think to get the effect you are looking for from the milo.
The easiest way to acheive optimal performance from your birds is to "yo-yo" them in a feeding/rest cycle. Mixing milo and wheat with a combination of other additives and treatments, ie.. vitamins epsom salts wormers 4n1 and various other elements that can greatly enhance the performance and health of your birds.
You want your birds to be in top form but not neccessarily top shape. Birds that are in too good condition can resist the roll, and not perform to their best.It is a fine line to get the performance out of them with out having to starve or medicate them to death just to get desired performance.
Play with amounts of rest and mixes of seed. Start out feeding a bit over full ration after a fly day. Keep them in for three days cutting back a quarter cup each day.The day before you let them out give some vitamins in the water and a bit of grit.Pull the water 30 minutes after you feed. The salt in the grit will make them drink more water so they will be fine. Don`t do this to a young bird team or they will crash!
Take everything out of the box except the perches. No dishes, feeders, waterers or anything. They will be hungry and pissed off. All you want them to do is sit and sulk. Next day when you fly you should see a big difference. Watch for inferior activity instead of rolling. This is where you will get the information on what to give them the next time you cycle them.Don`t expect a fly winning team the first time you do it,first one is for analysis. Adjust what and how much in future cycles. Good Luck.

I would not feed a single grain as an endefinite program and not have other suppliments available.
If it is an economic thing and you can only go a single grain with no other suppliments wheat may be a better choice to maintain bird health.
Milo is a very good feed, but I would not go straight milo for an indeffinite period. There are better choices of a single grain to feed on an everyday and forever basis.

Good Post Nick and Kenny...Milo is just..what I call a filler seed...not much to it...more air then anything...I usually feed wheat and milo together....but they are right....you need to throw some mix in there every now and then
