Just want to say how amazing it is to see how folks in this hobby support one another.Jimmi McDonald,a roller nut on Vancouver Island lost 7 pair of breeders last week to a weasel.Took their heads off and sucked all their blood out.Jim was devestated to say the least and almost ready to throw in the towel when Al Hunt,Larry Racine,Neville Eccles and John Weins all chipped in to ship Jimmi 8 pairs of breeders and 11 kitbirds. What a great bunch of guys,I'm tellin ya!!---------- Kelly

Isn't it amazing how wonderful the majority of men are in the "real" world of rollers. Stories like this happen quite often and they need to get more "press" than all the petty stuff! But, as is so common in our society, the negativity gets all the attention....It is in our own power to change depending on just where we focus our attention. Thank you for sharing it, Kelly. YITS, Cliff

Kel, Its amazing whether near or far the lengths that roller people go to help out.A special hobby no doubt. I can only walk so far and then my hat begins to float.I defintely appreciate what rollermen have helped myself and others...Aloha,Todd

That is all good...no doubt...but the problem is still not fixed. He should go over his loft and make it verment proof. Otherwise, he will lose the new ones. We can not stop sky predators and we sure can not stop two legged theives but sure we CAN stop four legged killers. That is my opinion.

Jay I'm building me a new breeders loft, And I'm going to use the 1/2in. x 1in. wire on the wire part. Thats the wire I have on the one's I built a few years ago. It's hard to look through and see the birds real clear but, I'll never worry about a stinking weasel getting in and wiping them out. Tapp

Jay, He's had birds for awhile in that loft as I know he got birds directly from Monty. The creepy slimy weasel got in he discovered through a 2 inch opening at the roofline he'd left open for ventilation. He had neglected to ever put wire there and it finally became the demise of his poor ol birds. It's fixed now for sure! ---------- Kelly
