Hey guys I'm building me a new kitbox. After being hit hard by coons this winter I want to put an elbow in as my trap. But what size?? 4 inch?? or bigger?? When I am done I will sent along photos of my new Kitbox. Right now it holds 30 birds each. I have 2 kitboxs in one unit. :)

Jim, I use 45% 4" pipe elbows for my traps. I do not rely on them to keep out predators. I still have a door that will close over the top of them. Keith

I dont care what kind of trap you put in your kit box. if you dont lock every opening every night. Sooner or later some thing is going to get in your loft. If you think coons are bad. you should see what a weasel can do and hes 1/10 the size of a raccon,
LOCK THEM UP

I had the loft locked up with a screen door hook, but they still figured it out. Now its and eye screw, nice and tight. :)
THANKS FOR THE info, I will post my pics of the new kitbox when I'm done.
PICS?? SURE I would love to see your traps!!
