well i might be slow or something but I've noticed that performers that perform at the same depth seem to have a better kiting ability than a group of mixed depth meaning the mixed depth performers are mixed and all over the place and the same depth performers seem to be more organized. Have you guys noticed this as well? If so then that means all birds are good kiters but the off track ones are just not with birds that perform similar to them that's why they are off track. Am I right? What's your opinion?
Depth of the roll doesn't come into the kitting of the bird its the family's genetic faults that carry the bad kitting habits. The deeper the bird the longer it takes to get back to the kit that's all. Its also better to have a kit of birds from the same family has they will all fly the same ie wing beat depth frequency . Putting birds in a kit from here there and everywhere will not make great kits. jmho Regards W@yne uk ---------- Patience Perseverance Perfection =====================================

Your not slow at all your exactly right on your observations. Balancing out a kit is essential and goes hand in hand with frequency. Uniformity in depth will help to collect the birds in a tighter nucleus after the break! Birds that kit well and have kit sense will pick up any lagging birds instead of flying away from them. Those that are strong kitters can fly with any kit of birds regardless if you have flown them with them or not. When you fly an unbalanced kit you end up with two seperate kits of differrent heights eventually at flys end or you have several mini kits.Your on the right track keep up the good work.
