The local hospital has used its lottery grant to (wait for it) provide cct cameras to enable patients and visitors to watch the (sob) peregrines feed their young on the top ledges of the hospital while useing the canteen facilities i will make sure they know that the pretty birds the b------s bring back are probably my rollers, they have even supplied and paid for the nest boxes on the ledges,if they could only see what they do to my birds i am sure some of them would not be so sympathetic towards these shite-hawks, they are not an endangered species anymore but they would be if i could get my hands on them,JIM (pissed off) uk.

My heart goes out to you Jim. That's living in England for you. Protecting these birds is laughable. Only if they could see whats happening to pigeon fanciers birds in general. In ww1 they had a mass cull of b.o.p to protect the carrier pigeon taking their messages it shows that it doesnt take long to over populate our shores again with these birds. Looking to the future in 20 years time we wont see many roller fanciers if any at this rate. There is guys quitting this hobby on regular basis that i know and good flyers at that. We no longer have the nice garden birds that we used to have because they have been wiped out. ITS TIME OUR LAWS WAS CHANGED.

Hi chaps. Seems crazy doesnt it.

This might put a smile on your face, it did mine!
I have a pal who is into shooting. He was out on an estate with a few others a wee while ago. One boy brought a peregrine along to hunt with. He flew it but it seemed spooked and came straight back. They tried again a wee while later when there was an almighty whoosh. A golden eagle came out of no where and took the falcon. The boy was gutted, apparently it had taken years to train and was worth a lot of money.

I wish I had one on the hill behind me too Jim.

I thought I read some where that some boys had settled eagle owls or similar down south to try and control some of the raptors. Cant reme, ber where I read it but I am sure I did.
