Hi guy's is it common to find cracked eggs on floor loft's when breeding from young hens. They all have nest boxes but for some reason they don't get to the nest box on time. And if that wasn't enough I also had a 1999 hen do the same thing. I have not seen any other cock trying to drive them out of their nest boxes. What could be the problem. R.Fuentes

I have these problems early in the breeding season when it is still cold or we get cold snaps, This along with the younger less experienced birds can be a problem. The weather will get better and the new breeders will get mature. Just make sure thier nesting materials and facilities are in good order. It will work itself out.
