Tapp, I will pair up what there is to pair and any odds I will try flying, But don't want to take the risk of losing the blood line, from a hawk. They flew good without much training. so I know they will do good.

Yes Chris they are smart. They learn bad habbits fast also. I had 6-7 of them that got were they would fly 6 min. and trap back in. I thought it was they were always hungry.I put up with it three days. Last two days when they come down and trap I go kick them out and they will go back up with the other 10 and fly 35-45 min. Little shits was just getting in the habbit, 6 min.land and dink around! Don't know what would have been the outcome if I let it continue a while longer.Good luck Chris with your breeding. If you need a hen or a cock let me know And I send you what you need.I have a 4 bird box.PS I have a small blue bar cock that I hand raised from 2 weeks old that I never flew because he bonded with me and would not fly with the kit but fly around the yard following me. Nothing wrong with him. he's right off the imports. I haven't used him yet. Only as a foster. ---------- Tapp

Tapp, thanks for the offer, I will keep it in mind. I also had some birds that figured out the food game and would fly for 10 then come down and act hungery, Kip showed me how much he was feeding his and I was feeding more than that and they still acted hungery. I dont feed right after the fly any more. Just toss a little millet, not enough to feed one bird. Now they stay up for 35 to40 min. I had to get rid of the trouble makers.
