Doug Michell,John Weins and me,Kelly Waugh.I scored 7.2.I had been flying my birds everyday and should have been resting them.Live and learn. At least I put some points on the sheet and no BOPs.

Thanks guys.Trev, yeah, bit by bit I'm getting things perfected around here.John was giving me some advice on feeding the breeders as well and now some cafeteria feeders are on the agenda to build. He said that is the best way to get them to eat something of everything you feed them.Alot less waste that way.He also mentioned he feeds his breeders whole corn always and that is new to me.Says the young grow much better with pellets, wheat, peas, milo and whole corn(the big stuff, maize).

I wonder if I should start feeding maize corn too because I heard it was actually good for them because it also gives them a small source of natural sugar that they need..

Andrew,
Ya know what!?I've found my birds anyways won't eat the big maize kernels so I actually use the popcorn type of corn.It is way more expensive and they don't eat much of it but they did empty out a hopper holding 2 litres in about 2 months in the winter/spring.
Rudy yeah thanks, would have done way better this last spring prelims but the falcon showed about 3 minutes into the fly.

Hey John,
Thanks. And we won't chastize you for capital lettersLOL.Since I took those pictures,I glued some pipe insulation on the edges of the roof in the front.Had a couple birds hit that sharp edge escaping the Falcons coming in at warpspeed and they got cut up pretty bad.The birds like it now they don't slip and slide when they land on the front of the roof.

Santandercol. You have a really good looking set up. Also, don't worry about the low score you will do better. I jut flew my first competition on the 4th and my score was pretty low. But u know what, I think that it made me more competitive because now all I think about is what can I do to make myself and my birds better. My club NCRC has gotten something started. I am super duper addicted.lol

Thanks Willy,
My main problem here now is how to outsmart the Henery.

I envy you guys your cool weather! We're still pretty hot here in Texas.

Don't you guys need a bale of hay to lie back on while you're watching those birds? :) My neck gets sore when the birds fly too long!

A bale of hay would start to grow grass pretty quick around here.We call it the wet coast, but I'd rather have the moisture than the dry snout all the time.I have a swivel, rocker lawn chair for viewing the birds now.
