This is one of the best birds I have bred to date. He was the best bird I bred for the 06 season. He is a nice lavender cock from a Ruby Roller Mealy Bar Baldy Cock and a Mort Emami Black Hen. I bred both of the parents in my loft and flew them out.
The Bald cock was 25-30 fast and tight, the Mort hen was 30'-40' and was a rocket...I flew them both for about 14 months.
The offsring to that pairing is this Lavender cock..he was 13 months old when I pulled him. He is perfect in every way...he is fast, excellent quality, kits like glue and VERY DEEP...but he is a strong bird and makes it back to the kit....Everyone that has seen him fly picked him out of the kit right away...Brian M. while judging the world cup...saw this cock...roll deep numerous time...he told me that cock hit 40+. When he comes in to land...not even a flip has never bumped and lands like all the rolling was another day at the office. He is a very docile cock and has the character of just knowing he has the stuff....he is a multi depth cock.
Tony sent me a nice Ruby Hen to borrow and breed to him...since I am short on hens....After the Ruby hen..I will breed him to a MOrt hen to see what happens....if he produces...I may circle the wagons around this cock. To me...this bird is almost a Champion...if he breeds in the loft....I will pin a ribbon on his chest...LOL!!
Anyway..just wanted to share.
Lavender 06 Ruby/Mort cross 25-40+ feet.
Dam to Lavender...05 Mort Hen 30-40' Daughter to my Blue Bar Cock and Black hen.
Sire to Lavender...Mealy Bar Bald Ruby Roller 05 Cock

Paul, You poor, poor unfortunate soul. You have my deep "symphony", knowing how sensitive your heart is, I suggest you box this poor, poor creature and send it to me for disposal. I will be humane and provide a warm and loving home and never mind the cost. I do this kindness with an open and warm heart. I also just happen to have some properity in the Everglades you might find interesting. Thom :-)

I would say a mother/son mating would be in the future of those birds. Did you produce any other other outstanding siblings from the original pair? A nice daughter to go back on the cock?

Nice birds Paul...Your Lavender looks almost like my young Lavender Ruby that Tony sent me...Did you fly him on the local fly day when me and Jess Yang came over??? The day we came was on a weekend. I remember seeing a levander that day that was really hot...Could it be the same bird??? Chai...

WOW, I like the looks of that bird also. It looks to me that he took after his mother more than the sire. A great look. And if Ol`fart recants his offer to take him off yer hands, I`d be willing to step up and do the right thing, by providing this bird a nice new home. LOL, LOL

chai,
Yes that is the same lavender that was flying during the club fly. He just stands out. He does look like my other Lavender Ruby's
Russ,
I do have a brother....another cock bird...and he is just as good in speed and quality....but not as deep or frequent...He was on the edge of making to stock loft too. There were also three other brids from that pair that I lost in my A-team over-fly back in December....I had a sister I was going to pull and lost her. This pair has produced all A-team birds so far...but I did lose two in the B-team that weren't doing much. This pair is together again this year....and I also split half my pairs to cross them up and see what happens....I did keep my base together in case I fall on my face...but this pair was a trial pair last year and I like what I see.

that lavendar looks like a silver bullet. Great bird and I have heard nothing but good notes about this bird. I have yet to meet you but a close friend of mine (Chor) has been giving you great props about your birds and nothing less than spectacular about your lavendar cock. Maybe one day, I can meet you in person and witness this cock in the air if it goes back to the A-team. Good luck with him and your birds.

Here is an updated photo of the cock....the photo was taken today.....He produced some nice birds last year with the use of a little hen I borrowed from Tony.
Here is a photo of the hen that he is with now...this is his Grandmother that is the mother of the black hen above. Seeing if we can lock in the genes...

I don't know what happened...came out to the loft and there she was....I started crossing everything...LOL....except she was pink and white...and I thought...oh gosh damn..that is a throw back to the color bird cross...Pensom did not have pink.....lol...I think the cross to get pink lace was with the easter bunny...because there is a rabbit on her front pocket...and the only bunny I know that shows pink is from the easter bunny.

This is the third one I`ve bred but the first one Ive kept.I gave the other ones away as squeaks. They only hatch one a year, rest are blue checks and blacks with one or two duns V99
