I have a 07 bird that has one fully black eye and one normal looking eye. The bird seems to see just fine. Do they have a names for this or is it...... one eye see's all?? :)

The fully black eye is a bulleye. It is common with birds that have a lot of white on the head. Sometimes both eyes are bulleyes. This will not affect performance.

Kevin is right...they are called odd eyed if they have two different colored eyes....I have a red baldy breeder that is odd eyed...but one is bull eyed and the other is cracked....cracked eyed birds mean..half the eye is bull and the other half is Yellow..eyes mean nothing....he is one of my top breeders.

Odd eyes are somewhat common in rollers. The same is true for bull eyes. Some fanciers don't like either of those, so they cull their birds.

Very common in badged marked birds. When white is present on the head such as bald heads badged marked this will occur. It is definitely called an Odd Eyed bird. Ivan
