I have a three week old baby that wants to twist its head around in an uncontrolled manner. Should I destroy or is there a quick solution? What is the cause?
The bird is wanting to twist its head completely around envoluntarily.

Nick, Cull it and vaccinate for PMV. Evidently one of the parents is a carrier. ---------- V99 Flippin`The Bird!

What Kenny meant to say was that one of the parents was potentially a carrier of Parathyphoid, not PMV. I'd cull it now, otherwise if it makes it to another pen, it can and will infect others through its droppings. Been there, done that.

Whoa...don't be so hasty! LOL I have squeaks that do all sorts of strange things, even neck kinking stuff...If you are absolutely sure, ya whack it, but make sure. You could be culling a good one. I am always looking at squeaks with intense paranoia, as if disease is just looking for me. LOL Good luck.

Nick,
You need to Cull that bird...it does not mean that the mother and father are carriers....I had one do that in the nest for me too......and have never had another one do it.....It could just be a RETARD...but don't take any chances...I am sure that the super chicken can fill that perch with a good spinner

Well, I have had the parents for 5 years and nothing showed up until this little demon(LOL). Is there a treatment that would not harm any bird especially the new borns...?

The risks of keeping this squeek out ways the benefits. I personally wou;dn't chance it. I have had this come through my loft and it is devastating. C.J.
